The Mary Green Chorale presents MUSIC OF THE THEATRE
The Chorale, under the direction of Conductor and Artistic Director Mary Woodmansee Green, will present renowned music from Broadway, Opera, & Operetta for mixed, men’s and women’s chorus with soloists and small ensembles along with engaging commentary throughout the evening.
The Chorale will be accompanied by pianist Gerald Anderson and joined by guest artists violinist David Katz, Jaki Fesq on flute, and David Kimbell playing cello and bass.
Straight from the most famous global stages of the theater, The Chorale will present the classics and light classics in English that are fun and familiar to all including Bizet’s Carmen, (Toreador Song), Verdi's La Traviata, (Drinking Song) and Wagner’s Lohengrin (Bridal Chorus), along with the joyous party scene from Strauss Jr.'s Die Fledermaus. This wonderful Music of the Theatre journey continues on to Broadway and will feature iconic and beloved songs from favorite musicals including The Phantom of the Opera, Jekyll and Hyde, On the Town,
Les Miserables, Man of La Mancha, The Sound of Music, Showboat, and more. Get your tickets early!
