The Mary Green Chorale presents The British Are Coming!
The Chorale, under the direction of Conductor and Artistic Director Mary Woodmansee Green, will present a fun, and varied English program from the Renaissance to the 20th century for mixed, men’s and women’s chorus, and small ensembles along with engaging commentary throughout the evening. The Chorale will be accompanied by pianist and organist Karen Ball and joined by David Kimbell on cello and bass, Sinisa Ciric on violin, and our own multi-talented chorale members on clarinet, trumpet, flute, oboe, guitar, and percussion.

Celebrate the beautiful music of the British Isles with a program of madrigals, folk songs, sea shanties, English Music Hall, the Finale of the Last Night of the Proms, and more. Music composed by Henry VIII, Tallis, Morley, Mendelssohn, Gilbert & Sullivan, Vaughan Williams, Britten, Holst, and Andrew Lloyd Webber - a true patriotic extravaganza! The program will conclude with God Save the King and our own My Country ‘Tis of Thee. Please join us for this joyous and uplifting evening!

The Mary Green Chorale presents A Valentine Cabaret
Love is in the air and the Chorale is ready to set the stage for an unforgettable Valentine's soirée! Join Maestra Mary Green and members of the Chorale as they present a 'LOVE-ly' evening of Cabaret and romantic songs they all love to sing, including Cabaret, Willkommen, You Light Up My Life, I'll Be Seeing You, Always, a Lennon and McCartney medley, Tennessee Waltz, and many more. You will also be treated to a sumptuous buffet dinner provided by The Poseidon restaurant, favorite cash bar cocktails, and a large silent auction to benefit the Chorale. Bring your special Valentine, and your friends and family to wine, dine, and marvel at all the wonderful auction treasures to help us keep our music playing...and all while enjoying some of your favorite songs!!! You might even be persuaded to sing along!

The Mary Green Chorale presents A German Requiem
The Chorale, under the direction of Mary Woodmansee Green, will present Johannes Brahms' greatest choral masterpiece, A German Requiem (sung in English).

After Handel’s Messiah, Brahms' A German Requiem is the most frequently performed piece in the symphonic choral literature. The 34-year-old Brahms wrote it to honor the memory of his mother and his mentor, Robert Schumann. He called it, “A Human Requiem, addressed to all – for the community of mankind.” 

​Welcome Holy Week with this consoling masterpiece. Featuring Karen Ball on organ, soprano Laura Sutton Floyd, baritone Matthew Walley, professional string quintet, and full members of the Chorale, this tour de force will be an evening to remember, honor and cherish our loved ones.
